The Estate Masterplan has evolved through discussions with planning officers and other stakeholders, with a strong focus on creating a development that respects the estate’s landscape, history and character.

The estate has been divided into a number of distinct character areas, each with its own carefully chosen architectural style. Some areas, such as the Walled Garden, are inspired by their historic purpose and existing layout. Others, including The Stables and The Village Green, take their inspiration from the traditional features of English country estates and villages.

In every case, the design has been shaped by the site’s landscape, views and natural features, helping to create places that feel both appropriate to their surroundings and unique to the Burrswood Estate.
